How do I stay healthy now that school is starting?

Ashley K asked:

Breakfast is too early. Lunch is too late. No snack in between, so I’m starving by the time lunch rolls around. The cafeteria food sucks, its worse then McDonalds and there are NO healthy options exept half rotted little apples, which isn’t healthy anyway. By the time school ends, I am starving again because I can’t get a well balanced lunch, yet I have had too many calories from the lunch to eat very much for the rest of the day.

Why do almost all people wait until they get a serious medical problem to then start living healthy?

Hi everybody! Why do almost all people wait until they get a serious medical problem to start living healthy? I’ll give you some examples of what I mean in the form of questions. Why does a smoker start stopping to smoke after smoking for 50 years after they find out they got terminal lung cancer, such as emphysema? How come an alcoholic stops drinking after they kill somebody on the road while driving drunk? Why do sexually promiscuous people all of a sudden start living healthy after they get a terrible, incurable STD, like HIV/AIDS? Another example could be why do people deal begin to finally deal with their obesity and being overweight after the doctor tells them they now have heart disease or diabetes? People are weird and procrastinate by nature in my opinion. Any answers would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

What are some easy but healthy meal ideas for a one year old?

New Mama asked:

My son is just under a year old and I am totally out of ideas for meals. He doesn’t really like his baby food anymore – he spits it all over the place – but he doesn’t have teeth yet, either. Someone suggested pasta with cottage cheese or tomato sauce, which was a great idea, but I need other ideas that are simple and healthy like that. He usually eats what we have for dinner, but breakfast and lunch are tricky because I usually have cold cereal and a salad which don’t really work for him…
Thanks for the help!

I am new to this “healthy” lifestyle. I try to eat things that will make me full, but fruits do not make me full. I need ideas and/or recipies for breakfast, lunch, and dinner that equal to about 1,350 calories all together. What are some healthy but filling recipes or ideas for breakfast, lunch, and dinner?

Cara asked:

I work all week and my boyfriend goes to school but works all weekend, so all the time we have together is in the evenings. The evenings are also my only time to go to the gym or go for a run. How do I spend time with the love of my life but keep myself healthy and lose weight at the same time? Its too hard to say no cause I miss him and want to see him. Any ideas?

I do not have access to a microwave, but I do have a thermos that keeps everything REALLY hot for about 9 hours (so I’ll be fine if you suggest something that I could heat in the morning and put in there). I also have access to a refrigerator.

What types of healthy lunch recipes are out there that I can take to work? I’ve been searching around but I’ve only found 2 that I like. Thanks!
