I was underweight to normal weight throughout my childhood and youth. I have always had a terrible sweet tooth that I struggled to keep under control for years. To maintain my healthy weight, I exercised every day and limited my caloric intake using WW as a standard for balanced meals. I was in great shape and very healthy. Meanwhile, all my friends and family were not exercising and were eating any thing they wanted. The majority were overweight. After years of living this way, I hit total fitness burnout. I began to feel it wasn’t worth all the sacrifices (like constantly denying my cravings for any food that was “empty calories, etc). After all, I have no wish to outlive my loved ones anyway, so why work so hard to be so healthy all the time?… Now, naturally, I am very out of shape. I would like to lose some weight to feel better and have more energy. But, every time I try to make a start, I just can’t make a go of it. It was my lifestyle for many years and something in me balks at the idea of going back. I’m getting older now and exercise seems more draining than I remember… Any success stories would be greatly appreciated
